Cloudworks were recently engaged by a local firm of Estate Agents to review and recommend solutions for their phone system.
Despite the business having invested heavily in a VOIP telephone system a few years ago, it was quickly discovered that it wasn’t up to the task. The staff regularly experienced problems with calls and a substandard smartphone app. In addition, support issues took a long time to get resolved if at all.
With the onset of a worldwide pandemic in March 2020, the business took pivotal steps to adapt and set employees up to work remotely. A huge part of this was to remain connected and be able to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
With the integration of PSTN voice calling into Teams, the benefits were immediate. Staff and managers had much greater visibility into day-to-day communications and collaboration became much easier with staff working remotely.
Cloudworks also created a custom Power BI dashboard which enabled the management to review call volumes and routing throughout the phone system in order to pinpoint any issues and distribute workloads effectively.
Finally, with a cloud-based phone system, any alterations or new extensions required can quickly and easily be done by Cloudworks giving much more flexibility and speed of response. The overall cost of telecoms for the business has been significantly reduced, both in overall call costs and in terms of the support it requires.
With less time managing and maintaining on-premises servers and systems significant cost savings were made. They are using market leading IT technologies and are seeing productivity improvements across the entire user estate. The users know they are secure – they hardly see any spam or phishing emails now and even though they only have to use MFA once a month, know they are secure.
