As a global business, The Healthstore deal with thousands of online orders daily. With next day delivery an option, orders have to be processed first thing to ensure that customers recieve their products on time. The challenge for technicians at Cloudworks was to minimise downtime and reduce impact to the point where users were able to continue working throughout the migration process.
Preparation was key with this project, through a combination of discovery workshops and on-site consultancy time with The Healthstore IT technicians, we created a work plan to ensure minimal disruption. The process included using the Cloud Migrator 365 tool to replicate users and mailboxes to Office 365, as well as analysing how shared mailboxes, distribution lists and groups were being used with their current Exchange setup to ensure a smooth transition.
On the scheduled migration day, Cloudworks technicians were onsite as the first users arrived. Due to the amount of preparation completed, the physical transition between their on-site Exchange server and the Microsoft cloud was perfectly smooth. Users continued to access mail through their existing Outlook desktop app, with the additional ability of accessing through the Office Portal from any device.
Each user was assigned a Office 365 Business Premium license, which allowed them to update their Microsoft applications at a time that best suited them. To find out more about Office 365 licenses and how we can provide them for your business, take a look at our licensing page.

The most notable benefits for The Healthstore is the multiple cost savings by adopting Office 365. Previously, an Exchange server had been used to manage mail throughout the company which, following the migration, has been removed. Office 365 Business Premium licenses provide each user with a 50GB mailbox as well as access to the latest office applications. The Healthstore are currently looking at migrating their document library to SharePoint to reduce costs further.
